Other news...

6 teams battled to get to the finals of the first 8 Goal Spring Season tournament in Houston, the HPC Cowboy Cup. After plenty of close games, shootouts, and great pair of semifinals, the finalists were decided.  Fox Benton's team, Ghurka faced off against the David Andras and Paul Hobby's team, Pegasus/Propaganda.  These teams met in the first game of the tournament, which Pegasus/Propaganda had won by 4 goals, which left Ghurka hungry for redemption.
The first half of the game belonged to Pegasus/Propaganda, as teammates Mason Wroe and Nick Cifuni kept a consistent and controlled pressure on Ghurka, going into halftime leading 4 to 2. However halftime is just what Ghurka needed.  High scorer of the game, Ghurka's Bryan Middleton, scored 3 unanswered goals in the fourth chukker on the game's Best Playing Pony Muneca.  Ghurka maintained momentum in the fifth chukker, holding their opponent scoreless and going into the last chukker leading 7 to 4.
At the start of the sixth chukker, Andras converted a penalty 3, bringing Pegasus/Propaganda within 2. Andras and Cifuni quickly scored two more goals tying the game with just minutes left. With a little over 30 seconds left in the game, Pegasus/Propaganda received a center hit, and as the first horn blew, Cifuni was running hard and fast towards the goal scoring the game winning goal with just seconds on the clock.
It was a great final to get to watch, both teams played hard and well, we are looking forward to see what USPA Delegate's Cup has in store!
